A nurturing yoga, nature, and Ayurveda retreat in
Folsom, Louisiana
October 3 - October 5, 2025
In a world that seems to constantly ask us to speed up, add on, or do more, yoga’s practice of “cultivating the opposite” is a refreshing concept. While we may not be able to slow down, minimize, and do less all the time, we can intentionally take moments of retreat and nourishment.
Join us for a 3-day yoga, nature, and Ayurveda retreat designed for just that - nurturing your body, mind, and spirit. This retreat is focused on replenishing your energy and fostering peace in an accessible and inclusive environment. We’d love to help you connect with yourself and others as an act of resistance to the things that thrive on our disconnection.

Katherine Quayhagen,
C-IAYT
Katherine has been a student of yoga for nineteen years and a teacher for eleven. A native Louisianan, Katherine’s hope for her offerings is that they give back to her immediate communities and cultivate welcoming spaces for everyday folks to connect with themselves and others. After years of teaching in yoga studios and underserved community spaces in New Orleans, Katherine was given the opportunity to construct a yoga-centric wellness department with Longbranch Healthcare, a dual diagnosis and holistic treatment organization in the greater New Orleans area. She is currently a C-IAYT Yoga Therapist of the Desikachar lineage, a Wellness Director, a Yoga Nidra Instructor, a Yoga for 12 Step Recovery Peer Support, a Mother, and a student. Music, friendship, Mardi Gras, and tree frogs bring her deep joy and gas pump televisions are her pet peeve.
Meet your chef!
Blending ancient wisdom with modern understanding, Jena Pendarvis brings her knowledge of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine to every interaction. With an artist's eye and a philosopher's heart, Jena sees the profound interconnectedness of wellness and approaches healing as both a science and an art.
Jena's deepest joy comes from empowering others to reclaim their health journey, guiding each person to recognize their body's innate wisdom and the abundant healing gifts that Mother Earth provides. Understanding that each individual carries a unique constitution and story, Jena creates personalized pathways to wellness through kitchen medicine, herbal remedies, and transformative lifestyle practices.
Her approach bridges traditional Ayurvedic healing systems with western medical understanding, creating accessible wellness practices that honor both ancient knowledge and contemporary science. As an educator and community servant, Jena cultivates spaces where holistic healing becomes not just a practice, but a way of being in relationship with ourselves, each other, and the natural world.

Well, we all know it is Louisiana, so it is subject to change quickly. Typically, the weather in early October is starting to cool down a bit. We recommend bringing a light jacket. We will be doing a zoom meet up a couple of weeks before the retreat and we will share more about what you may want to bring.
